Acoustic Panel Suspension Kit — 1.2mm Wire Rope, 1 Metre Drop
A ready-to-install hanging set for office acoustic ceiling baffles: 1.2mm stainless steel wire rope, nickel-plated brass side-exit gripper, M6 ceiling snap hook and panel bayonet hook. The drop height is set on site by sliding the cable through the gripper, so one kit covers uneven slab levels.

Why 1.2mm Suits Office Ceilings
  • Breaking load of the 7x7 1.2mm rope stays above 25 kg, roughly four times the weight of a standard 2.4 x 0.6 m mineral wool baffle.
  • The slim 1.2mm profile reads as a fine line against white ceilings, so the suspension almost disappears in photos and renderings.
  • Gripper releases with a push of the release collar, which makes later baffle repositioning or cleaning straightforward.
  • No tools required for length setting; slack is stored inside the gripper body rather than coiled on the ceiling.
Installation Sequence
  1. Fix the snap hook into a drilled plug or direct to steel purlin, keeping a 1.2 m to 1.5 m spacing grid.
  2. Thread the rope through the gripper, push it up to the ceiling hook and set the rough length.
  3. Attach the panel bayonet hook, then fine tune the four corners of each baffle until the ceiling line is level.

Cable length is cut to order at no extra cost for 0.5 m to 5 m. Choose 1.2mm, 1.5mm or 2.0mm rope, black or mill finish gripper, and single or double ended sets. Send your ceiling drawing and we will return a take-off list within 24 hours.
