Recording rooms cannot afford rattling hardware. This kit uses a 1.5mm 7x19 steel rope with a chrome plated gripper whose locking ball grips along the full cable length, so a panel can be re-levelled by fractions of a millimetre without dismantling the fixings. The heavier construction also damps the micro-vibration that thin 1.0mm hardware transmits into fabric wrapped absorbers.

Tuning The Drop Height

Release the collar, slide the rope, and let go — the ball locks instantly. Because the gripper keeps the surplus rope inside the body, the working length can be shortened and lengthened repeatedly, which matters when a studio is re-tuned between sessions. For paired left and right panels, set one side first, then transfer that length to the opposite kit as a gauge.

Common Questions

Does the gripper mark the cable? No. The locking ball seats between strands without crimping, so lengths stay interchangeable between kits.
Can it hold a 90cm wide absorber? Yes, two kits are recommended per 120cm wide panel for a flat wall line.
Is a black version available? Yes, black chrome and matte black powder coated bodies are stocked.
