Some soundproofing panels are not light. Barrier mats, laminated plasterboard sandwiches and double-layer acoustic boards can weigh well over 25 kg per square metre, and they need a suspension point rated for it. This 10 m heavy duty kit uses a reinforced fork gripper body and 2 mm steel wire rope to deliver a 60 kg safe working load per point, with the long rope length needed for tall industrial halls.

Load Path Explained

The fork gripper holds the rope with a hardened wedge cam rather than a simple spring collet. As the panel load increases, the cam bites deeper into the rope, so grip strength scales with the load instead of relying on spring pressure alone. The M4 stud then transfers that load into a bracket or a cast ceiling anchor, and the whole assembly is proof tested before packing.

Commissioning A Long Drop

On a 10 m drop, rope rotation is the main nuisance. Because the wedge cam locks along the rope rather than at a fixed point, the installer can pull the panel up in stages, counter-rotate the rope by hand, then lock - all without a second lifting tool. We recommend a temporary support under the panel until all four points are locked.

Accessory Options

Available with a resilient pad under the anchor for vibration isolation, a turnbuckle tensioner for very long ropes, or a locking pin for tamper-resistant public installations. Anchor type is selected to match your substrate: concrete, steel purlin or timber.

Warranty And Testing

Each lot is proof loaded to twice the rated working load for 30 seconds and inspected for cam marking on the rope. A 24 month warranty covers the gripper body and locking mechanism under normal acoustic panel service. Test certificates ship with the commercial invoice on request.
